This is a powerful Point of Sale software that allows retailers to maintain absolute control over sales and inventory while presenting an easy customer checkout. It is a great solution for your sales counter and stores. Vistapos is a software-for-all solution from Transcends Systems targeting tha Small and Medium Enterprises (SME'S) that include supermarkets and wholesale stores, chemists, bookshops, hardware stores, general shop/kiosks and other retail outlets of similar nature.

Brief description

Section – helps you separate stock items in different locations but within the same system. Several options are available e.g. separate electronics and food stuffs. If all items have one selling point (not separated into sections) then use the Default Section.

Group – Used for categorizing the products. Type the item/product group or pick from the dropdown list.

Product name - Where you enter the name of the item or description, usually the brand name plus the quantity.

Product code – it’s a unique product identifier. Enter a short description or a number.

Barcode – unique product identifier that is scanned. Only specific products contain this barcode.

Main supplier - The main supplier of a particular product.

Packing unit – the unit of measure of the item or how the item is packaged e.g. pieces, dozen, crates, kg, gm, litres, mls e.t.c.

Qty in unit – the number of smallest saleable unit (quantity) a particular unit of measure holds e.g. 12 in a Dozen, 2 for a pair, 24 for a crate of soda.

Issue unit – the unit an item is sold in e.g. pieces, Kg, Mls.

Main location – location where items are.

Is a stock item? - Determines whether the item can be stocked.

Is BOM (Bill Of Material)? - Determines whether the item is a combination of other items

Saleable - Determines whether the item can be sold or not.

Stockable – indicates the item is stocked.

Expires(Y/N)? - Determines whether the item expires.

Expiry date – date an item expires. Only selected if the Expires button is checked.

Must use serial No. when selling – Used for tracking items that have serial numbers.

Note/prescribe – Indicate a prescription of an item (optional)

Cost price – The buying price (purchase price) of an item.

Retail price – Retail selling price of an item.

Wholesale price – wholesale selling price of an item.

VAT code1 – Select the VAT code of a particular item i.e. A=16%, B=0%(zero-rated), E=0%(Exempted).

VAT code2 – Used in hotels to capture the catering levy (Ksh. 2).

Re-order Level - Level at which item should be ordered.

Minimum order - minimum Order that can be made.
